The Profession
Speech therapists specialize in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of oral and written communication disorders, as well as related disorders. In addition to language delays and pronunciation
impairments such as dyslexia, dysphasia, and stuttering, they treat a wide range of difficulties, including neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease,
autism spectrum disorders, deafness, and genetic or neurodegenerative diseases.
Speech therapists adapt specific games and exercises to each patient to facilitate rehabilitation. They also conduct screenings and assessments, taking into account the psychological, social, economic, and cultural dimensions of their patients in their approach.
The program
Organized into two cycles
The first cycle:
THE BACHELOR
During the first 3 years, students cover writing standards, teaching techniques, psychology, neuropsychology, and degenerative and psychiatric pathologies. They also explore sign language, speech therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
The second cycle:
THE MASTER
The Master's degree represents an advanced specialization in speech therapy, audiology and language sciences, aimed at training professionals capable of supervising paramedical teams in rehabilitation centers.

This profession requires excellent human relations skills, good personal balance, and patience and listening skills. To stay up to date, speech therapists must also train throughout their lives, follow new studies, and update their scientific knowledge.
Admission requirements
Bac +3 (Bachelor's degree level): Holders of a scientific baccalaureate
Bac+5 (Master's level): Holders of a Bac+3 Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
